Even with a fantastic franchise model like Hub Care Support behind you, your first year as a new business is a daunting time. It’s never going to be easy, and you will always face challenges as you build up your customer base and get yourself established as a business.
Hub Care Support franchisees, Roger & Joyce, who run the East Anglia Coast branch, sailed through this milestone at the end of 2023, and are already see all the fruits of their hard work in the heart of their community.
We originally spoke to the husband and wife team back when they first opened (read the full story here: Meet Our Franchisee, Roger & Joyce) but also followed up with them recently to hear more about their journey so far…
So much about running a successful Hub Care Support franchise is building a reputation in your local community as a trusted business people can count on, and this takes time. Roger & Joyce have worked tirelessly to establish themselves and we’re very pleased to say they have exceeded the targets set for them.
“Most of this year we’ve focused on learning the ropes, but in the last few months we feel we’ve really arrived as a business. In the last 3 months alone, our turnover has been double that of the rest of the year combined! We’re more efficient now at what we’re doing, but the big difference has been that word of mouth is really spreading about what we can do and how we do things differently.”
It’s all about having the right people on board
With 22 PAs already signed up, and another 4 going through the registration process, Roger & Joyce are building quite the team already. By offering experienced carers the chance to become full-independent, take control, and finally earn the hourly rate they deserve, recruiting and retaining high-quality PAs is proving to be no problem.
They’ve even managed to recruit their own children into the business! Now things are growing so rapidly, Roger & Joyce’s two sons are helping out with admin, marketing, and supporting what is rapidly becoming a family business.
These two aren’t on the payroll yet, but they are also a very important part of the team!
Hub Care Support has your back through all the highs and lows
Fortunately, Roger & Joyce’s year has been dominated by highs, but they always know that when they need that little bit of help and support, the Hub Care team is there for them.
“We regularly reach out for a bit of advice and guidance, especially when our PAs have service users with more complex needs. We looked at loads of franchises before joining Hub, and Natasha and James’ attitude towards their franchisees really stood out. You can’t fault them – they’re fantastic!”
Roger & Joyce have big plans for the future – could you be next?
The couple are so happy with how their new business is going that they are actually in talks to purchase their second territory later this year!
Great news for them, but for you that does mean yet another territory will now have been snapped up. The way word is spreading about the revolutionary way the Hub Care Support franchise is approaching care, I am certain it will be just one of many over the next year.
