When the same old way of doing this simply isn’t cutting it anymore, you need something new – you need Hub Care Support!

Many of those working in care dream about owning their own care company one day. Running your own business and enjoying all the independence and rewards that come with it are a huge part of the motivation for this, but that’s really only the beginning. Working in care gives many people a unique perspective on what it really means to look after the most vulnerable in our communities, and just how many deep problems mainstream care faces.

Running your own care company means providing a service which is always in demand but, for many, it is also an opportunity to bring about the kind of positive change our industry so desperately needs. For Fale, who opened his Hub Care Support office in Liverpool in August 2023, our unique business model was the opportunity he had been looking for to do exactly that.

“It’s always been a strong desire of mine to own my own care business, but I really wasn’t sure how to go about it in the right way.” Fale told us when we spoke to him recently. “So, I did some research and came across Hub Care Support. I quickly learned they do things very differently, and I had never heard of anyone who operates a service like this before. I very much wanted to be one of the first.”

Hub Care Support is changing the way care is delivered in the UK by putting carers at the centre of everything we do. By giving them control of their working lives, who they work with and when, we empower them, as well as franchisees like Fale, to deliver the kind of care they know is needed. By introducing carers – or, as we call them, Personal Assistants or PAs – to service users and making sure they are a consistent face in their care programme, we allow them to form meaningful relationships with them. The kind they know have a hugely positive impact on quality of life.

With a background working in care, and in care recruitment services, Fale understands all too well the challenges those working in more traditional models face. “My experience has shown me that most people working in care have no control of their working lives. A model like Hub Care Support’s gives unique opportunities to care professionals to be in charge of actually delivering the care which is most needed.”

As he launches his new business, Fale is able to tap into some of his existing contacts in the industry, but one of his biggest jobs over the next few months will be to spread the word about what he is offering. As more and more people learn about our different way of doing things, our franchisees are building quite the reputation among both those who need care, and potential PAs, but grass root community connections are still vitally important. Which is why Fale has been busy out and about meeting with key figures in the area, including a GP friend and the pastor of his church.

“What we can offer is definitely going to attract people. It’s especially enticing for really high-quality carers, which is where it all begins. I’m getting out there and telling everyone ‘Something new is coming!’ and I’m sure I am never going to have any problems finding PAs. Once word gets out to the people of Liverpool about what we can offer, I am confident they will be interested in our services.”

While success in any business will always come down to how much hard work you put in, even with a franchise model which is ready made like ours, we always go to great lengths to make sure we give our franchisees the best possible start and all the support we can offer. Our goal is for franchisees to leave training feeling they have all the tools they need to run a successful business using the Hub Care system, and to be really on board with our values and ethos.
